Legend of the Black Claw Chapter 9 Part 2
“That’s rude, Vita!” The creature said and placed its scaled hands on its fur-covered hips. I was dreaming, no, having a nightmare. Of course, that made perfect sense. This… this… thing, wasn’t real. It lowered its long, white-bone face, the black antlers and horns protruding from its head coming perilously close to touching my forehead. It was a skull, like a deer skull; the eyes nothing but black pits. I cried out softly but no sound escaped my gaping mouth. The creature watched me then claps his odd reptilian hands together.
“Oh, I’m still in that form, aren’t I? Silly me…” It said and much to my horror it began stripping away the scaled reptile arms as if they were gloves. One heavy, clawed hand hit the ground then the other, replaced with human hands which then proceeded to do the same with the rest of the hideous hodgepodge of animal parts.
