The worried Emperor (Commission)

Another one for from his new story =3 Really enjoyed this one!


"His long crimson locks had been pulled back and upward to be meticulously braided and interwoven into a majestically bejeweled silver crown adorning his mighty brow. At sixteen years of age, Emperor Perion the Seventh, was the youngest Emperor to sit upon the Imperial Throne without a Regent to guide his decisions. 

Emperor Perion's pale blue eyes surveyed the decadent silver walls encrusted with shimmering gemstones that reflected back the torchlight, and gold tiled floors. Silently he turned his attention back to the myriad steps and movements of the dancing figures that comprised the interior of the Imperial Court, consisting mostly of the Imperial Royal Family and it's root families. The Founding Celebration had always been a private affair for the Imperial Family and it's branch Families, and this year's celebration was no exception to exclusion. 

However, as he lounged upon his golden throne of purple velvet Perion's troubled mind was on far more important matters then the celebration of conquest and dancing. His mind was troubled by Truth. He knew the truth behind the assassination attempts on his life, yet he alone knew this Truth. He had disclosed nothing of it to his Court, so none knew this Truth. Perion the Seventh had not even trusted this Truth to even his most closest of advisers and councilors. Perion knew that only a Grand Duke or one of the Guilds could afford four such expensive assassinations.

He needed more time to investigate which Grand Duke or Guild Master bore him so much vehemence to make four such expensive attempts on his life. It had not been any true skill on his part that had saved his life; but that of pure chance and luck. Perion knew he could not be dependent on Chance as She was almost as capricious a mistress as The Universe Herself. He had publicly laid the blame of the assassinations on disgruntled malcontents urged on by demagogues to buy himself time to find the answers."
