Mael and Cassy have all the fun....

And as promised a slight teaser for you XD!!! This story is from Mael's point of view (like Lestat) so if you haven't read the original text i am just giving you a heads up XD

Enjoy^___^ and as always i love you hear what ya think.

(“Come, we must let you see the world through reborn eyes, you will be shocked when you see what it really is, hear how it really sounds and taste how it really tastes.” I stood, there was no need for me to ask or commanded, her hand took mine when I extended it; the beauty between a Master and newborn, a parent and child, creator and creation. I allowed the shadows to dress me, yes, though it was habit, I was showing off. Cassy looked on in shock, she had so much to learn, it would be a pleasure to teach her for eternity what it meant to be divine. “How…?” She gaped, her mouth was so perfect in every way; I imagined it fastened to mine as it had been only a short time ago. “Something you will learn in time but first you must drink and accept your destiny, my dearest.”
Beyond my manor there was a good expanse of land I had purchased, it was mostly field but at the far end there were some trees. I decided it would be the perfect place to let my little Cassy bath in the moonlight for the first time. “Well that explains the clothes melting off of you last night…” She said taking a step back. I smiled and led her to one of the heavily draped windows and pulled the thick dark red drapes back to reveal a door leading to a balcony. I couldn’t help myself, I watched her intently as I willed the door open. Her eyes went wide and her mouth fell slightly agape at the act, just as I had expected. Truthfully all these tricks were very boring if you could not share them as wonders with the magically un-inclined. “Now, I will show you something I think you will find interesting.” I said and led Cassy out on to the balcony. I released her hand and stepped up on to the stone railing. “Hey, be careful!” She cried reaching for me. “Why? I cannot die.” I said and laughed. She frowned but she still came a bit closer, as if when I fell she would grab me and save me. The woman was something special indeed, not many would care for the person that took their humanity without asking and damned them to an existence of eternal night. “Have you ever flown?” I asked her. She looked perplexed. “On a plane…” She said. Her eyes were darting from my face to my feet, still worried I would fall apparently. Perhaps I needed to ease her worry. I spread my arms out on either side of me and lifted my palms to the sky, then fell backwards. I heard her scream and I watched her eyes go from horrified shock to amazement as she looked over the balcony’s edge. My coat that was fluttering in the wind shifted and morphed into leathery wings to slow and finally stop my descent. The drop to the ground was not that far away so I let my feet hit the grass below then I pushed off and pushed the air beneath my wings with a hard thrust to shoot me back up with enough speed to catch Cassy off guard. I caught her on the way up, under her arms, and then swung her into a more comfortable position. Her arms flew around my neck and she crushed herself against my body, held on for dear life and screamed. “Oh my God, what are you doing?!” She cried looking below us. “Showing you some perks.” I said and grinned. Once we were high enough to catch a strong current of air I rolled us so she was straddling my waist and I was lying with me back down to the earth. I folded my arms behind my head and let us glide for a moment. “Well?” I asked. “Ok, this is a perk!” She laughed. Her hands were knotted tightly into my shirt and her legs were squeezing me so hard that if I had to breathe it would have been nearly impossible. She was smiling and it was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen because I could see her little fangs poking below her upper lip. “The heavens are envious.” I whispered and unfolded one arm to reach up and stroke a finger down her cool cheek. “Of what?” She asked lowering her gaze to mine. There were stars in her eyes, reflected from the sky above. “You of course… Azure dreams are made of stars but in your eyes there is no par, for the light within is that of the sun, as bright as day but… far more fun” I grinned as I finished my little poem and slid my finger down her bare shoulder. The shiver that erupted over her body was a very pleasing reaction. “Are you a poet now too?” She asked dismissively but her unrepentant blushing betrayed her true feelings. And it didn’t hurt that I could read her thoughts. “You inspire me.” I admitted. “Well… feel free to be inspired by me when we are on the ground alone some time, when I can thank you properly.” She said with a slight giggle. Oh my, that I believe was progress. “What stops you now?” I pressed raising a brow. I admit it, I simply wanted to embarrass her; she wore it so beautifully. “A lot of things are stopping me, like the fact we are in the sky!” She cried with amusement. “Kiss me, that is not too scandalous, is it?” I dared her. I watched her expression carefully, she was debating it. “I am afraid I will fall if I move.” She finally admitted with a shy smile. “You will not fall, do you think I would let fall? I place your life above my own. I would die for you.” I stated. “You can’t die though…” She laughed and hit my chest gently with her fist.
“Neither can you.”
“I don’t want to be a bag of bones and live!”
“You would rather die and leave me alone and destroyed?”
“Oh shut up… I am sure you could find someone else.”
“There is only you and there has been only you. If you were to die again I would wait and search the earth for you to return.”
“Mael…” The way she whispered my name forced my hand to tuck behind her head and guide her down gently. Her hands loosened their grip and she let me hold her, trusted her safety to me. Our lips met and for a moment I was afraid I might fall out of the sky. Her hair feathered across the flesh of my hand causing a trembling in the pit of my stomach and a stirring in my loins. Her legs tightened around me and for a moment I had the notion to take her like this, in the sky.)
